Lucky’s Back: Who Else Should Return To General Hospital?

Who else should return to Port Charles

As General Hospital enters their 61st year on air, there have been several major returns teased, from Steve Burton returning as Jason earlier this year to Jonathan Jackson bringing Lucky home after nearly a decade. During this special time on GH, who else should make their way back to Port Charles?

Who’s Returning?

Jonathan Jackson – After Frank Valentini teased a fan-favorite actor returning, it was announced that Jonathan Jackson will reprise his iconic role as Lucky this summer. With his father presumed dead, his sister in a coma, his brother in prison, and his mother running the city as mayor, what will Port Charles hold for this Spencer?

Bryan Craig – After teasing his return, it was revealed Bryan Craig will be back as Morgan for a single episode. Due to the short stint, it can only be assumed Morgan will once again be back as a ghostly figure, seen either by Carly (Laura Wright) or Sonny (Maurice Benard). Maybe Morgan’s presence will help Sonny get back on track after being on the wrong dosage of bipolar medication for months.

John J. York – York returned to GH on June 19 after battling two different types of cancers. Back from “helping a friend,” Mac reunited with his family and mentioned being away helping Frisco (ex-Jack Wagner). Now that Mac’s back, it’s only a matter of time until he finds out Cody (Josh Kelly) is his son.

With these three major actors returning to Port Charles, who else should join them?

Ryan Paevey as Nathan

Although Nathan was shot and killed in 2018, no one ever dies in Port Charles! Ryan Paevey recently noted he didn’t have any Hallmark Channel movies in the world, which makes for the perfect time for him to bring Nathan back. After all, his widow Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is happily dating (Spinelli), so what better way to cause a rift than for her deceased husband to return from the dead?

Julie Berman or Emme Rylan as Lulu

What better time for Lulu to awake from her coma than when her brother Lucky is back in town? Lulu was last portrayed by Emme Rylan, who left the show in 2020 when Lulu fell into a coma after being injured in The Floating Rib explosion. Prior to Rylan, the role was most memorably played by Julie Berman. Either actress bringing this legendary character back would be a sight for sore eyes.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Spencer

After Spencer was “killed” earlier this year in order for his portrayer Nicholas Alexander Chavez to film a TV series, fans have been longing for him to return and reunite with Trina (Tabyana Ali). The actor was recently seen with GH newcomer Giovanni Mazza, sparking rumors that his grand return is on the horizon.

John Stamos as Blackie

It’s been 40 years since Blackie was last seen in Port Charles, after being sent to prison for the accidental murder of his girlfriend, and it’s about time he reunited with Laura (Genie Francis) and Scott (Kin Shriner), and met Jackie Templeton’s (then-Demi Moore) son Chase (Josh Swickard). John Stamos recently sent love to GH when he shared a rare scene from a guest stint he did on the show as himself. Could now be the time Blackie makes his way back to his hometown?
