General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been stuck dealing with FBI drama ever since his long-awaited return to the show. Many GH fans are eager to see Jason back in a love story, so it’s time to start thinking about what his romantic future looks like.
Jason has sacrificed so much for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), so the depth of their connection is undeniable.
Carly and Jason have agreed they like their bond the way it is, but could they step out of platonic territory again at some point?
Of course, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is another romantic contender.
Although Sam is upset over Jason abandoning his sons and putting Carly first, she’s always going to love her ex deep down.
Sam is in a committed relationship with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), but it’s easy to see some cracks are already starting to form.
Dante flipped out over Sam risking prison to find out the FBI’s leverage on Jason, so that could be the first real sign of trouble.
There are tons of Jason and Sam fans who’d be thrilled to see these two get back together at some point.
That includes Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), who would presumably love a family reunion with his mom and dad.
However, maybe we shouldn’t count out the idea of something romantic happening between Jason and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) again.
Liz has been kind and understanding ever since Jason came home, so some viewers are holding out hope that they might get a reunion of their own after all these years.
That said, we’ll have to see how Elizabeth reacts to the news that Jason chose Carly above Jake Webber (Hudson West) and Danny.
Will Liz lash out like Sam or show compassion for Jason once more?
If GH writers wanted to throw fans a curveball, they could also pair Jason up with someone surprising like Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) or even a brand-new female character.
Jason spent a great deal of time undercover as “Alan Jacobs,” so maybe a secret girlfriend could finally track him down to rekindle things.
Whatever the case, Jason must be getting pretty lonely these days, so let’s hope a new love story is indeed in the works.
Whether Jason reunites with a former flame or kicks off a fresh romance instead, he deserves someone special!
