General Hospital spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) didn’t rebound after her marriage to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) ended. Carly was devastated when Sonny cheated on her with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros); so she wasn’t in a hurry to start a new relationship although her attraction to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was slowly increasing. But before Drew and Carly decided to start a relationship, Carly did something that could ruin her life forever.
General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Knew That Aurora Media Was Planning To Merge With ELQ.
Drew and Carly’s son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) were planning to merge ELQ with Aurora Media. Drew and Michael asked Carly to stay out of it, but she invested heavily in Aurora anyway!
The merger fell through and Carly actually lost her half of the Metro Court because Aurora Media’s stock plummeted. But even though Carly didn’t profit from it in the end, what she did is definitely an example of insider trader. Carly knew about the proposed merger before the general public and hoped to profit from it.
GH Spoilers – No One Has Accused Carly Corinthos Of Any Criminal Activity!
Although Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) pointed out if Carly was aware of the potential merger before anyone else, she could face serious criminal charges. Carly and Drew had just decided to start a relationship but realized that if their romance was exposed, someone might realize that Carly might have had inside information.
So they have kept their relationship a secret, even though Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) have figured it out.

Nina knows that Carly and Drew are keeping their relationship a secret but may not realize why. Nina is furious with Carly for keeping Nina’s relationship with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to herself and thus kept them from bonding as mother and daughter.
Nina won’t likely realize that by outing Carly and Drew’s relationship that she could actually end up causing Carly to go to prison for a very long time.
