It seems like Kody Brown is finally coming to terms with the fact that Janelle has moved on from him, instead of blaming Christine for allegedly leading Janelle astray.
Kody Brown Says He Likes Janelle Brown’s New Place: “Everything’s A Test“
Janelle Brown is now an independent woman and she’s got the apartment to prove it. In a sneak peek of the Nov. 5 episode of the TLC reality series, “Sister Wives,” we see Janelle open her doors to Kody to visit her and daughter Savannah’s new space.
“I guess in a way this has been a nice space because he’s not ever been into this space,” she explains in the preview. “So, it feels like it’s kind of my space. I’ve sort of liked having it as kind of my little sanctuary.”
Even though Kody didn’t shy away from congratulating Janelle on her new residence, he did feel awkward helping her to arrange the new home.
“I don’t know how weird this is,” he opens up in a confessional after Janelle enlists his help to hang some artwork. “I mean, maybe it’s just a test. ‘Hey, will you come over and hang pictures?’ ‘Sure, OK.’ I mean, I’ve been married to four women. Everything’s a test. ‘Pick me, pick me. Do something for me. Do something for me.’ That’s what plural marriage can feel like sometimes.”
The visit also helped Kody to come to terms with the fact that his relationship with wife Janelle is over, just like it is with Meri and Christine. While he may not have mourned Meri or Christine’s departure as much – he was over the moon when Meri left – he did miss Janelle and even held out hope she may come back.
“I like this place,” Kody continues. “The other apartment was pretty cramped. But it’s just dawning on me that maybe the whole reason Janelle moved here was because the other apartment was our place. You know, I was living there with her, and she’s moved here and it doesn’t look like I’ll be living here with her.”
He later adds, “It’s her apartment. It’s not ours. But there’s no room for me. It’s not about me and her. I honestly don’t know why she’s showing me other than, well, I mean, our daughter lives there.”
Kody is currently practicing monogamy with Robyn, though fans doubt it’ll last.
