‘Sister Wives’ Kody & Robyn Brown’s Blatant Disrespect At Retreat
During the Sister Wives: Look Back Part 2 episode, fans picked up on a small detail about Kody and Robyn Brown disrespecting the other wives. As the past clips roll, it seems that some actions early on were indicators of Kody giving Robyn special treatment.
The Browns Look Back
In Sister Wives: Look Back Part 2, former sister wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown take time to review old clips along with husband, Kody Brown. In response, each gives their perspective on the scene. One video replay in particular caught the eyes of viewers as a blatant slap in the face by Kody and Robyn. Notably, a clip shows the Browns’ Sedona Retreat in 2013, where their therapist, Nancy, encourages them to “sculpt” themselves.
Additionally, they were to select a shape that depicted how close they felt to each of the other family members. But there was debate about where Kody should stand. Seemingly, the wives believed he should be in the middle to represent how their marriages directly connect him to each one. However, Kody refused saying, “If I’m in the middle, then I become your sole focus. Your connection to each other has to go through me. And that cannot exist.” Undoubtedly, this became a point of contention during the exercise.
Fans See A Sly Action Of Disrespect Between Kody And Robyn Brown
On Reddit, a user opens a thread about the retreat. The Sister Wives fan captions: “Something I never noticed before.” Then elaborating on a detail they saw about Kody and Robyn Brown, they say, “In the episode of the look back with Nancy when they did the body sculpting K grabs R hand and pulls her a little closer to him. This is when K was upset about being in the middle of them saying he can’t be the focus. So he steps back grabs only R hand. He was showing how he felt the whole time. They saw it and imo they hid so much and glossed over it for years. I can’t imagine how frustrating it was for the wives to have k&R deny it the whole time and be called jealous. I’m glad they left but I’m so sick of k&R complaining about it.”
What Fans Think
In response to the Reddit thread, other Sister Wives fans chime in on the sly move between Kody and Robyn Brown:
- “I saw him grab her hand too, and at the same time saying don’t make him the focus.”
- “He didn’t want to be in the middle because that would mean he’d be responsible for loving each wife equally.”
- “Yep. Instead, he stood between Robyn and Janelle if I recall correctly. Like I said before, everything these people do has a decade of grudges and slights baked in. It’s insane. And you’re dead on. Christine was absolutely correct he should be in the middle. Him being in the middle doesn’t make them stand any further apart. Him getting between 2 wives was, however, more realistic.”
- “Right?! What he said in the beginning was he was the wheel they were spokes right?” To which another responds, “I thought it was Kody’s mom who made the spokes and wheel analogy. It was like ‘the more spokes, the stronger the wheel.’ The funny thing about making this comparison is that it can also be said that the more spokes you have in a wheel, the less important each spoke is to the structure. Maybe they should have thought about that. Lol.”
